BAJA MISSIONS SUPPORT

The Men's Ministry makes sure that funds are raised each year to provide half the support our full-time minister in Baja, California, Mexico--Alfredo Chavero Morales--who is reaching out not only to the Maneadero area but also to the people in the communities of Chapultepec and Durango.

Golf tournaments have been held in the past. In 2010, the tournament had to be cancelled. Gifts and the proceeds of a fund-raiser breakfast at a local restaurant supplied the need.

The remaining half of Alfredo's support is provided by the Jackson Park Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennesssee. Supplemental items such as health insurance are funded by the Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama.

Other independent funding has been raised by two dedicated women of our congregation--Nancy Holguin and Melanie Norton (daughter of long-time directors of the City of Children, Stan & Carole Stout)--which has been used to add a kitchen-classroom wing to the Maneadero church building. Installation of cabinets is currently underway. As funds become available, appliances, pots & pans, and dishes will be provided.

It is never the wrong time to become a donor and help support this work in Maneadero--whether or not we're having a fundraising event. Rest assured that any donation will be appreciated and appropriately used to reach the Maneadero area.  Feel free to send checks to the church office designated for the Maneadero congregation, or you may call the office for more information.

MONTHLY PRAYER BREAKFAST

On the first Saturday of every month, you will find the Men's Ministries cooking breakfast in our Fellowship Center. They meet at 7AM, cook their breakfast (and even eat their own cooking!), and then have a time of prayer and fellowship.
