Go Share the Lord!

Our missionary in Panama, Kim Rowell, has served there since 1983. For 25 years he and his Panamanian wife, Urian, have devoted their lives to the Panamanian people and to assisting them in every area of their lives—particularly in spiritual matters.

They serve under the organization Pan-American Mission which is dedicated to continuing the mission of Jesus Christ. Their stated mission is threefold:

1.  Preaching the Gospel.

2.  Teaching God’s children how to live.

3.  Doing good to all men.

Kim and Urian have been exemplary in following this mission. Working in the rain forests of Panama, Kim saw a need and began training in medical missions of necessity as they are often completely cut off from medical care due to distance and/or difficulty of travel to medical help.

They have set up many model farms, teaching the people how to improve methods and productivity as they also share in the bounty of the crops they plant and harvest.

Due to a lack of supplies and the remote locations in which they often labor, Kim has shared a need with our congregation: school supplies for the children of the rain forests. Our kids regularly bring donations to their Sunday School classes for these children. As a result, they annually provide upwards of $600.00 for this need. The picture following the map in the slide show above shows Kim sharing the school supplies our kids purchased with the children of the rain forest.
