A spiritual shepherd, referred to as an Elder, designates a man who has proven through life experiences to embody the attributes and qualities of godly spiritual leadership set forth in Titus chapter 1. They are "older" in experience and spiritual wisdom and serve this body of believers with wise counsel, spiritual support, encouragement, moral accountability and prayer.
These are some of the first people you can confidently call when your life journey gets tough. If you need someone to lean on or to help share a burden, a shepherd is there to help.
